PCME-US is a wholly owned subsidiary
of B3 Systems Inc. located in Raleigh, North
Carolina. We are the US distributor for products
from PCME Ltd which is located in the United
Kingdom.
We started out providing our clients with continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS) and began integrating baghouse leak detection systems into plants in 2001. We offered to install any sensors that the customer requested, but we soon discovered that the sensors offered by PCME Ltd. (particularly the DT990s) were uniquely suited for MACT applications. PCME's patented methods for signal processing, calibration checks, and contamination checks offer increased instrument stability, minimization of interferences, and automated quality assurance checks.
We developed digital communication systems that allowed our clients to access data, configuration, and diagnostic information from DT990 sensor networks using Allen Bradley PLCs. These systems allowed us to conduct periodic diagnostic checks and sensor setups for our clients remotely, without visiting the site. For our clients, whose operating personnel were already stretched, it removed much of the burden of complying with MACT regulations.
We found that our approach to cost-effective MACT compliance matched well with the approach of PCME Ltd. In 2003, B3 Systems became the national distributor for PCME Ltd. in the USA and formed PCME-US. We are first and foremost a service company.
