B3 Systems has a staff of PLC programmers and process
integration experts to help implement your baghouse leak detection
program. From simple communication with your PLC or plant DCS to
a turnkey package (see below).

OUR STANDARD TOOLS:
TOGA Gladiator Embedded Data Acquisition Computer
The Gladiator is an embedded industrial PC that runs a
Unix-based operating system and maintains a SQL database. The
Gladiator has drivers for communicating with a number of industrial
protocols such as Allen Bradley DF1, RS485 Modbus, and Ethernet
TCP/IP. The Gladiator also handles communication with the outside
world. It can be equipped with a modem or attached to your
Ethernet system to allow remote access. This allows us to perform
remote diagnosis, setup of sensors, and data backup. The
Gladiator can communicate with PLC's and/or the PCME sensor control
unit.

Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
We use Allen Bradley PLCs or other less expensive PLCs where
the application warrants. PLCs are most often used when we need
to integrate the baghouse controls with the sensor data. See our
Baghouse Cleaning Controls page for more information. We may also
use existing PLCs to retreive information.

|
Open Databases
Our database is open-access which means that almost any
application can access the data. Reports can be generated using a
program such as MS Access. Live data can be accessed using HTML
pages.
|
||
|
Remote Access
Our service program relies on having remote access to real
time data, configuration information and sensor diagnostics. If a
sensor needs to be reconfigured due to a process change, it can be
accomplished without sending a service technician. We simply
download a recent representative data set, review the data, and reset
the system parameters as necessary. Troubleshooting is also much
easier if we have access to all of the internal diagnostic information
for the sensors.
