B3 Systems provides a multiple levels of service contracts
to suit your needs. Our service programs generally rely on having
remote access to the sensor controller or a PC that is attached to the
controller. We find that this allows us to diagnose problems more
easily before a service technician is dispatched. Often problems
have simple solutions that can be handled by your personnel without the
need for a service call.
Remote Maintenance Package
The remote maintenance package requires a remote connection
to the sensor control unit or computer. This can be
accomplished using a dedicated phone line with a modem or by connecting
to a plant Ethernet. We will work with your network administrator
to ensure that absolute security is maintained. Access to your
system may be limited to e-mail only for security concerns. The
remote system sends a daily status e-mail to our office. An
e-mail also is automatically sent if a fault or alarm
occurs.
The Remote Maintenance Package also includes telephone
support. This service puts B3 Systems on-call to support the client
from just simple phone calls and questions to emergency call-outs. If
your system has a problem, then pickup the phone and give us a call.
But it is more likely that we will be giving you a call when you system
is not functioning properly because it will let us know.
Sensor Calibration/Setup
The OAQPS guidance and industry-specific regulations require
calibration/setup of leak detectors at least once each year. The
instrument owner/operator is required to adjust the sensitivity, time
constant, alarm level, and alarm delay. It may also become necessary to
repeat the calibration/setup if there is a process change that affects
the characteristics of the particulate. These procedures are
somewhat subjective, so there is an advantage to having a third-party
perform the work. B3 Systems has the ability to perform these
procedures remotely and to produce a complete calibration report
containing the following items as necessary:
Up to 7sensor calibration/setups are included as part of a 5-year service contract, or they can be purchased individually.
On-Site Maintenance
Some customers prefer to have a visit from a technician at
least once per year. This approach may also be preferable when
remote access is not possible. The services that can be included
on-site are:

Daily Data Review/Editing and Reporting
B3 Systems offers a complete data review and editing service
to provide independent third-party QA as well as help supplement the
environmental management staff at your facility. B3 Systems will review
the data each business day. A summary report of any exceedances or
questionable data will be issued to the client requesting input for
each item (cause, corrective action, etc). Once a response has been
received, B3 Systems personnel will make all necessary edits to the
data, while maintaining a detailed audit trail. This edited data will
be re-evaluated for any events or exceedances that the edits may have
created. Once all data is has passed QA/QC it will be marked as final
and ready for reporting.
Reports will be generated based on an agreed upon schedule
of both draft and final compliance reports. This service does include
the reformatting of existing reports with the existing data, but does
not include the creation of new reporting requirements based on new
data demands.
